  • What we will do with your data
    The Data we retain is necessary for us to provide our services and to fulfil our contractual obligations we have with you and our legal obligations. The data will only be used and processed by representatives of Be Cuckoo. We will not pass on any of your data or details to any other companies or third parties without your express permission. We may provide your personal data to any regulatory body or law-enforcement authorities should we be legally obliged so to do.
  • How long we will keep your personal data for?
    We will only keep your personal data obtained for the purposes outlined in this notice and once these purposes are no longer relevant, or if you withdraw your consent we will delete such data. ​We may change this Policy from time to time so please check this page occasionally to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

    ​Under the GDPR you have the right to object to us processing personal data based on grounds relating to your particular situation. If you object to us processing your personal data either relating to a specific set of circumstances or in general, we will stop doing so, but if by doing so we are unable to fulfil our Contract for Services, it may be necessary to terminate your booking with the Company.

    At Be Cuckoo, we use certain elements of your personal data to provide our hospitality services to you. In this Privacy Policy, we have described how we collect, store and use your personal data. We take every care to protect your personal data and your privacy during this process in accordance with all relevant legislation. There are steps you can take to control what we do with your personal data and these are explained in the policy. By personal data, we mean data which could be used to identify you, including your name and contact details, and any related data which could be attributed to you. It may also include information about how you use our website and other services.
  • Do you have insurance?
    Yes, we have £5 million public liability insurance.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Please read our Terms and Conditions for full details of our cancellation policy.
  • What are your payment terms?
    We require a deposit of £25 (non-refundable) to confirm your booking and party date. The remaining balance is to be paid for in full by no later than 14 days before the party date. We request a £50 cash security deposit on the day, which will be refunded once the equipment has been collected undamaged and fully tested (usually within 48 hours). Costs for the replacement of any damaged items supplied or breakages will be deductible from this deposit.
  • How much space is required?
    For our indoor sleepover parties: The space required per A-frame tent is 90cm (width) x 160cm (length), with the breakfast table 90cm x 200cm (we can cater up to 8). Traditional/lace teepees are wider at 140cm x 160cm, with the breakfast table 140cm x 200cm. (We can cater for 2 of these). Best friends large A-frame tent 155cm x 160cm, with breakfast tables 155cm x 200cm The most popular set-up seems to be a traditional teepee for the birthday child and then their friends all have an A-frame tent each, or if not they all have A-frame tents depending on space. ​ For our external bell tent parties: The 4m star bell tent requires 6.5 x 6.5 metres to pitch to include the guy ropes. Low picnic tables on large rug takes up 160cm x 200cm. Needs to be pitched on grass Flat ground required. For our picnic parties​ A-frame 90cm (width) x 115cm (length) provided with no mattress only matt and cushions Best friends large A-frame tent 155cm (w) x 115 (l) provided with no mattress only matt and cushions Traditional/lace teepees are wider at 140cm (w) x 140cm (l), with the breakfast table 140cm x 180cm. (We can cater for 2 of these) Extra large lace teepee 200cm x 200cm. Low picnic tables on large rug takes up 160cm x 200cm or just low picnic tables individual 60cm (w) x 90cm (l) or 2 x low picnic tables 60cm (w) x 180cm (l) For our bubble tent Our bubble tent is 4.5 x 4.5m, ideally requires 6 x 6m to pitch but can be pitched with sandbags if it isnt windy weather. It can be pitchedn on natural or atificial flat grass.
  • What is the hire period?
    Everything included in the package will be delivered and set up one day then packed away and collected the next day. At the point of booking we discuss a convenient time for us to come to your home on each day.
  • Do I need a power supply?
    Our fairy lights and lanterns are all battery operated. We will need an electric supply to blow up our inflatable beds for our bell tent use.
  • What areas do you cover?
    We are based in Gravesend, we cover London, Kent, Medway and Essex. We cater up to 10 miles from DA12 postcode free of charge, thereafter a small mileage fee would apply. Please contact us for more details.
  • What age range are the teepee tents suitable for?
    For our sleepover parties – we recommend the tents are used by children over the age of 5. For our Pop-up picnic parties – we recommend for ages 3+
  • What happens if something gets damaged?
    We accept there will be some minor wear & tear. Due to the nature of our business we take great care in looking after our party supplies and ensuring they are supplied in fantastic condition. Should an incident occur where any of our supplied items get damaged there will be a charge for replacements. Please read our terms and conditions for more detailed information on this.
  • How are the teepee tents cleaned?
    All bedding, mattress protector, pillow case and protectors are laundered after each use. The tent covers are all removable and washable. Trays and other items are cleaned and disinfected.
  • Are the teepee tents available to buy?
    Apologies, our lovely tents are only part of the hire package only.
  • Can the teepee tents be used outside?
    Unfortunately not. The tents are for inside use only.
